Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What industries do you work with?

We work exclusively with home service businesses. That includes roofing companies, HVAC contractors, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, window and door companies, and other trade-based businesses. If you run a business where customers call you to come to their home, we work with you.

We chose to specialize in home services because it's an industry we understand deeply — the seasonality, the margins, the competition from large franchises and lead aggregators. A roofer has different needs than a restaurant or an e-commerce brand, and we built our entire process around those specific needs.

Q. What's your minimum ad spend requirement?

We recommend a minimum ad budget of $1000 per month. This is separate from our management fee and goes directly to Facebook and Instagram to run your ads.

The reason we set a minimum is simple: paid advertising on Facebook and Instagram requires enough budget to generate meaningful data. Below a certain threshold, the algorithm doesn't have enough information to optimize properly, which means slower results and less efficient spending. Our minimum ensures you're giving the campaign a real chance to perform.

If you're not sure what budget makes sense for your business size or market, we'll walk you through it on your free assessment call.

We track the metrics that actually matter to a home service business owner; cost per lead, number of leads generated, and return on ad spend. We don't bury you in vanity metrics like impressions or reach that don't translate to booked jobs.

You'll receive regular performance reports that show exactly what your ads are doing, what's working, and what we're testing or adjusting. Everything is tied back to one question: are you getting customers at a cost that makes sense for your business?

We also set up conversion tracking from day one so we can see which ads are generating real enquiries, not just clicks.

How do you measure and report on campaign performance?

Q.

Most clients running Facebook and Instagram ads for their home service business start seeing inbound leads within the first two to four weeks. The first month is typically when we're gathering data, testing creative, and dialling in the targeting — so results tend to improve significantly between month one and month two.

Paid advertising is not instant, but it's considerably faster than SEO or referral-based growth. Unlike word of mouth, it's also scalable. The honest answer is that timelines vary depending on your market size, budget, and offer. We'll give you a realistic expectation during your free assessment before you spend a dollar.

How long before I see results from paid ads?

Q.

Yes. We don't lock clients into long-term contracts. Every client at Client Vector is on a month-to-month arrangement, which means we have to earn your business every single month.

We believe that's the right way to run an agency. If you're not seeing results, you should be able to walk away. The pressure of month-to-month keeps us accountable and focused on performance rather than just retention. That said, paid advertising does compound over time — campaigns improve as we gather more data and refine the targeting. Clients who stay consistent are the ones who see the best long-term results.

Do you offer month-to-month contracts?

Q.

Most marketing agencies work with anyone: restaurants, e-commerce brands, law firms, gyms. We only work with home service businesses. That focus means we're not learning your industry on your dime. We already understand the seasonality of a roofing company, what a plumber's busy season looks like, and what homeowners are searching for when they need an HVAC contractor.

We're also a small, focused team, not a large agency where your account gets handed to a junior employee after the sales call. When you work with Client Vector, you work directly with the person who built your campaign and knows it inside out.

If you've worked with a generalist agency before and felt like an afterthought, that's exactly the problem we exist to solve.
